The Hua Hin Ham & Bacon Company’s shop on Soi 41 is a little treasure trove of goodies, especially if you are looking for that little bit of home comfort food that you have been missing since you have been in Thailand.

The shop has been operating from the premises for ten years and the current management is now into their fifth year.

They manufacture and cure all of their own Hams, Bacon, Gammons, Burgers & Sausages; they also bake a vast range of Pies and Ready Meals.

To compliment this is an array of the finest Imported Meats from around the globe.

Tender Lamb from New Zealand. Best Quality Steaks from New Zealand, Australia, Argentina and America. Fresh and Frozen Fish from Scotland, Norway & Tasmania. Fresh and Frozen Fruits and Vegetables from New Zealand, Australia, Europe & America. Cheeses from around the world.

They also have a pretty impressive Imported Grocery section that has many branded products not available elsewhere in Thailand, This section seems to grow each month with new products arriving regularly. (They are happy to take suggestions as to what you would like to see stocked, and will do there utmost to seek FDA approval and start to bring the product in).

Latest products this month include Lucozade, Ambrosia Custard & Rice, Sharwood’s Sauces, Coleman’s Mustard & Sauces and Sarson’s Malt Vinegar. Coming soon will be Ribena Blackcurrant, Garners Pickled Onions and a few other niceties once FDA approval has been given.

Famous for their own produced bacon & sausage, the Ham and Bacon Co, currently produces over 12 different styles of sausage. They will also make up a small batch of your favourite style sausage just for you. Recently produced items for individual orders include Texas Hot Links, Lancashire Sausage and Boerewors Sausages. They have even designed a unique Sausage recipe for a Bangkok Hotel that included Lamb, Spinach, Olives, Feta Cheese and fresh Mediterranean Herbs.

The bacon produced is one of the best you will find, back bacon that is perfectly cured and thick cut with a perfect balance of flavour and texture. This is by far the biggest selling item they produce and is sent all across Thailand to many shops, Hotels, Restaurants, Resorts and private customers.

All meats are cut and packaged in house, only the best cuts of real quality meat are sourced. They will not stock their meat department with any cheaper cuts. Any newly sourced meat cuts are thoroughly checked for taste and tenderness before being offered for sale to their discerning customers. They are happy to help you plan any event and give advice on the best ways to cook their meat products, they will even cook your whole cuts and roasting joints for you, just tell them what time you will be eating and collect your perfectly cooked order direct from their oven, with appropriate sauces and gravies, ready for you to serve to your guests at the correctly rested time.
